HRH Prince Paul of Romania was honored at Craiova

HRH Prince Paul of Romania was named Guest of Honor of The International Academy « Mihai Eminescu » from Craiova. At this Gala was also present two of the founder members, two Nobel winners, Czelaw Milosz and Wole Soyinka. Also, a good friend of Prince Paul, Maestro Gheorghe Zamfir was honored with the same distinction and it was received from the Professor Ion Deaconescu. This extraordinary event took place at Casa Universitarilor in Craiova.

The Swearing in Ceremony Military Sworn in Dragasani

It has become a tradition for Prince and Princess Paul to be the Guests of Honor at The "Grigore Alexandru Ghica" Gendarme Academy-Dragasani presentation of the colors and the Oath of Allegiance taken by the cadets. The crowd of parents repeatedly applauded the Royal couple as they exited the festivities.

Germany: The Funeral of the Furst of Hohenzollern

On the sombre occasion of the funeral of HSH Prince Friedrich Wilhelm Fürst von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, the Royal couple represented the Senior Branch of the Romanian Royal Family. The first kings of Romania, Carol I and Ferdinand I, were initially German princes of the Hohenzollern Family.

A medal for the renowned soprano, Felicia Filip

Brasov was the site of the extraordinary concert by Felicia Filip who is a dear friend of the Royal couple. She was presented, on stage, with the specially minted silver medal that had commemorated the baptism of their son, HRH Prince Carol Ferdinand. On that occasion, Miss Filip had been invited to perform her touching rendition of "Our Father" in Latin.

Gendarme Graduation 2010

Prince Paul is the patron of the Gendarmes. Each July graduation ceremonies mark the awards from His Royal Highness to outstanding cadets. This year in the presence of Generals Penciuc and Antonescu, Princess Lia was honored to represent her husband at this important occasion.

130 years of Romanian-Belgian diplomatic relations - 8th of July 2010

The Royal couple were invited on the occasion of the Belgian Presidency of the European Union and of 130 years of Romanian-Belgian diplomatic relations.
There was a Belgian-Romanian military parade and concert, the Royal Belgian army orchestra and the Romanian army orchestra played their countries music to the audience.

The little Prince has reached 5 months

On 11th of June Prince Carol Ferdinand reached the 5 month mark. Besides his parents TRH Prince Paul and Princess Lia of Romania, he is growing beautifully and peacefully, already weighing in at 8 kilos. And as befits a real Prince, he is an adorable good soul.

To commemorate this occasion he was visited by over 15 ambassadors, doing his duty like he is expected to as the newest member of the Royal Family. Obviously, he can only giggle and smile. He will be raised to think of Romania as his true home.
